Glenda Pacha
Glenda can be described as “mistress of details by day, crazy improv actor by night”. A fan of improv for many years, she enrolled in Steve Schultz’ improv class in early 2011. After the class, she joined Ready or Not Improv and performed with them for over three years. Her favorite part of improv is creating characters from scratch. She describes it as simultaneously terrifying and exhilarating. To some, improv is a sport because of its reliance on teamwork. Glenda’s quote comes from Leroy Jethro Gibbs - he says, “Rule #15 - Always work as a team.” She is grateful to her family, friends and her improv troupe mates for their support.
Terry “The Flash” Pacha (Audio Visual Improviser)
Terry has no acting or improv experience. However, he is arguably the brightest of all of us and does have a sense of timing (usually bad). He is nominally qualified to operate a light switch. He is the perfect guy for the thankless job of shutting up improvisers.
Alice Kwong-Van Dusen
Alice loves improvisational theater. Her first experience was at a junior college where she discovered the fun, spontaneity and collaboration of improv. After taking a break to start a family, Alice hit the stage again in 2009 starting with short form and expanding into long form improv formats. If Alice looks familiar, you may recognize her from her AutoNation commercial, or her piece she did for Symantec. Future roles have her appearing in the feature film “Steve Jobs”. Alice also found time to work in a short film, “Touch of Essence”, where she was the lead actor, which was screened at the 2015 CAAMFest. Alice is very grateful and thankful to her family, friends and improvisers for all the fun, love and support on this amazing journey. Doug Lower
Cultural anthropologists (and Doug’s sister) believe that Doug started improvising in the late 1960’s. At the tender age of 12 years old, Doug and some well-intentioned but clearly misguided friends began recording “live” radio shows. After extensive reprograming, a stint in the Navy and numerous leadership roles in Toastmasters, Doug took an Improv class in 2010 where he became a founding member of Ready or Not Improv. He still performs with that troupe, as well as guest performing and producing local troupes like Synergy Theater, Dragon Viper Cobra and Underground Improv. In between production meetings and sleep, Doug found the time to become a founding member of Act II Improv. His sister and the scientists agree, twelve year old Doug has come back out to play! His favorite quote is from John Burroughs, “Leap and the net will appear!”
Randy Wight
Randy claims to have “never met a mic he didn’t like”, he is a founding member of Ready or Not Improv, Founder/General Manager of Act II improv and got his start as a stand-up comic in “Show Time’s Funniest Person in America” contest. Currently he heads up Funny Bone Productions, and teaches Business Comedy Workshops. When not performing, providing voice over or teaching, this award winning Toastmaster may be found speaking to groups ranging from the National Security Agency to the British Olympic Team. One of Randy’s favorite improv quotes is: “…when we think ahead, we miss most of what's happening." - Keith Johnstone
