Raise More Money through Individual Sponsorships - Optional
Remember all those times that your kids and now your grandkids asked you to sponsor them for a walk, skip, silence, dance, etc. Now is your turn to ask your family and friends to do the same for you. This year all registrants will have the opportunity to raise additional funds through individual sponsorships.
How Do Individual Sponsorships work?
Find an envelope that you can use to keep your cash and checks in
Make a collection sheet or download the one on this page
Staple or glue the sheet to the envelope or keep it inside the envelope so that it doesn’t get lost.
Ways to ask Friends to Sponsor You
Over the phone or in person - simply jot down your sponsor's name and the amount they would like to give on the collection sheet (located on the right side of this page). Ask them to mail or give you cash or a check. You can also direct them to www.HospiceEastBay.org/sneakersandpaws website, if they would like to pay by credit card.

Dear -
On July 26th (pets name if including) and I will be participating in the Friends of Hospice Rossmoor, Sneakers and Paws event. We will be walking around the Creekside golf course, chatting with friends, taking pictures with (pets name) and enjoying refreshments. I am writing to you to ask if you would sponsor me and (pets name) for walking the lap. Any amount would be very much appreciated. We are raising money for a new Music Therapy Program which will be starting here at Rossmoor.

Via Facebook – Share the Sneakers and Paws event page on Facebook and ask your friends to sponsor you.
Via the Website – Please use this link to direct your friends and family to the website. On the page marked “Sponsor a Friend” they will be asked for the name of the registrant they would like to sponsor and the amount they would like to give. They will then enter their name and credit card details.
Payment
We strongly advise that you collect the money at the same time it is pledged
Please accept only flat amounts, rather than per lap amounts.
All cash and checks are to be given to you, the registrant, to put in your collection envelope
HEB can only process credit cards via the Sponsor A Friend page.
Checks should be made payable to Hospice East Bay (Tax ID 94-2515405). Please indicate Rossmoor Walk in the memo line.
Envelopes may be returned on the day of the event but no later than August 1, 2021
Please note it is not necessary to collect sponsors to enjoy the walk
Clothing
The event will happen rain or Shine! Please dress in whatever feels appropriate for you to walk in. Comfortable shoes are a must!
Refreshments
Light refreshments will be served during the event
Raffle
Every registered participant will get one raffle ticket. If you would like to purchase more, you may do so for a cost of $5 each. The drawing will be held at 10:30 am and you either must be present or give your tickets to someone who will be present to win. There are plenty of fabulous raffle prizes!
Pets
You may walk alone or with a pet. Please make sure that pets are kept on a leash throughout the morning.
