An opportunity to support specifics needs:
$2,500 is the average cost of a patient stay excluding doctors’ cost at Bruns House, the only inpatient Hospice facility in the Bay Area. This is Hospice of the East Bay’s gift to the community, and is the most expensive level of care Hospice of the East Bay provides for its patients and their families.
$1,000 pays for the patient's care when there is no insurance coverage. Last year, Hospice of the East Bay provided more than $67,000 in charity care – the agency paid the costs for patents that could not pay for the care themselves.
$500 covers care that exceeds the patient's insurance cap.
$250 is the average cost for an uninsured Bruns House patient for the length of their stay.
$100 helps pay for emergency assistance for families in need (rent, utilities, food).
